Urgent Care Centre

What is the Urgent Care Centre?

Your GP Out of Hours Service and A&E Department have come together under one roof into an Urgent Care Centre with one new telephone number. This is in response to patient views on improving local NHS services.

When you ring 111, you will be asked a series of questions relating to your condition. This will make sure that we direct you to the right NHS service. You could see an A&E Doctor, a GP, Nurse or Pharmacist at the new Urgent Care Centre or be directed to a more appropriate community service.

The 111 number is Out of Hours GPs and for Urgent Care. If you need a GP in normal opening hours, please ring the practice you are registered with.

If you are not registered with a GP, please visit to register OR visit a GP practice near to where you live to register. You cannot register with a GP at the Urgent Care Centre.

If you think your life it at risk from an illness or injury Ring 999
