NOTICE: From Monday 8th June, the partners at Abbey-Dale Medical Centre have made the decision that face masks will have to be used by everyone working in all areas of the surgery, as well as by all visitors and patients. Whilst we have taken major steps to reduce face-to-face consultations, encouraging the wearing of face-coverings when attending our practice will help further protect our staff and patients.
A purpose built, modern Medical Centre with all the usual facilities that are required to provide high quality Medical Services. The Medical Centre is located on a main bus route and is situated in an ideal location for patients registering from both Blackpool & Lytham St.Annes.
Abbey-Dale Medical Centre was opened on June 10th 1994 by Dr. George Dale father-in-law to Dr. Ghulam Abbas. In 2014, the practice was then taken over by Dr. John Poyner, Dr. Sujata Singh, Dr. Muhammad Khawaja and Dr. Celestine Voma. At the end of January 2017 Vicarage Lane Surgery closed and moved in Abbey-Dale Medical Centre.
Named allocated GP for patients
You may be aware that from April 2015 all practices are required to allocate all their patients with a named GP who will have overall responsibility for your care and support. This does not prevent you from seeing any GP in the practice as you currently do.
They will also work with other relevant health and care professionals, who are involved in your care, to ensure that your care package meets your individual needs.
We now offer the facility to book your appointments, order your repeat prescriptions and view your medications and allergies. To use this method we must first issue you with a password. Please call the surgery or enquire at the reception desk for details.
